Hi all......
Valerie has been getting an IV of glucose and electrolytes since about 4:30 - it's still going.
She also got a shot of a new nausea drug called Vontrol. She says that she feels "different" but not better. The nausea has moved up from her stomach more into her throat.
I went to the Calimax (remember... Vons, Piggly Wiggly, Kroger) and got a bunch of random stuff that she took one bite of... regular Pringles, chips ahoy, granola bars, saltines... nothing was tolerable.
We'll see how the night goes.
Please know that even when we don't respond to your comments - here, on facebook, or email - we still read them and appreciate them. And please know that when Valerie isn't able to digest them and have me read them all to her, I gain a lot of love and support from them.... more than you'll ever know.... and she'll read them all someday. All of your comments, thoughts, prayers, jokes, and suggestions are received with love and appreciation. And if you just read and are silent, that's okay too. I'm happy to have a format to keep you all up to date. It's an outlet for me as much as it is a source of connection and information for you.
I like to include pictures but didn't take anymore today. Any suggestions? We've had the room, dining room, streets outside... I'm now taking requests :)

Good morning ladies! I certainly hope that the nausea meds work. I know that you both are just overwhelmed and taken back, but with faith and conviction, this will be conquered. Love you guys!
Thanks as always for the update...it means more than you know to hear the news, share in some way, even though so far away. I hope the acupressure ideas help a little, well, I hope they help a lot!! worth a try anyway! Re: pic suggestions...I love them all. I would love to see a snap of you and Val, but don't know if Val is up to it...even the God and Moses views are wonderful (yeah...the back views...)Makes me feel like I am there with you both for just a moment. Also loved seeing some of the staff...don't know if they like pics or not, but it is nice to "meet" some of those angels via pics. Love you both, love all those caring for Val. Hugs, hugs, hugs. it's Lisa:) i look forward to reading this everyday. I'd like to see pictures of the people helping Val - I am praying for them to have wisdom and it helps to see what they look like when i pray for them:)
