DAY 4 - MORNING

So yesterday ended up a little rough and is continuing into this morning.

Valerie got through 4 of the 6 IVs for yesterday and held off on the other 2.  I was mistaken about the numbers in yesterday's post.  There's one IV that's not on the sheet they gave us that she's doing everyday - the insulin with the low dose chemo.

So she would have 3 today - the chemo, and the 2 from yesterday: vitamin K and vitamin C.  But she was nauseous all night and her upper back has been in a lot of pain.  She has been trying to stop the morphine because it's been thought that that has been the cause of the nausea.  So if she could take something else for the pain and get rid of the nausea that would solve 2 of her biggest problems.  And it may just be an adjustment period, we aren't sure.  The regular doctors aren't here on the weekend, just on call ones who haven't been following her case.

This morning she got a shot of the nausea med that she had been taking by pill and she took one of the morphine pills because the doctor didn't leave any orders for the weekend for pain meds.  Shortly after both of those she threw up.  So, the nausea med is still in her, but we aren't so sure about the morphine.  (Sorry for those of you who may not want all the details, but this is what you get when fighting cancer... and believe me, I'm not including everything.)

So we will see what today brings.
love you all

LOL! :)
I love it.
She actually has a prescription, we just haven't gotten it filled yet. First on the list when we get home.

It will not only help the nausea it will also probably help her appetite. People that pooh-pooh the medical benefits of marijuana have obviously never tried it and don't have a clue.
