DAY 10 - MORNING

Mixed review...
 - Valerie started the drip with the sedative in it yesterday at 1pm.  By 6, she was asking for spaghetti.  She ate the whole bowl of noodles, then some strawberries, then some almonds later.  She was getting the sedative in a large IV of fluids over an 8 hour period of time.  At one point, we turned the drip up a little faster - soon after is when she started really feeling better and getting hungry.

- The nurses changed the IV bag late last night.  Valerie woke up a little queasy.  The IV was dripping VERY slowly.  We turned it up a bit and are waiting to see if there are similar effects as last night.

Another piece of the mixed bag:  twice last night, she had periods of extreme restlessness.  She couldn't sit still and would shake her arms and legs just to release some of that feeling.  It lasted from 30-60 minutes each time.  We assume this is a side effect of the sedative.

Soooooo, we're waiting to see if the faster drip has positive results again AND we'll probably talk to the doctor soon too.  And then we'll decide if she's going to try some breakfast and supplements or if we will need to head home to get the nausea better under control.

more later..........
