DAY 6 - MORNING

Half way through the 12 day treatment here.

Still no change in the constant back pain and nausea.  Those 2 things are debilitating.  Can't turn over in bed, sit up, be touched, watch or listen to something... without one of those severely interfering.  Day in and day out, the nausea and the back pain.

Valerie got up this morning with mild pain and nausea - took the morphine and shortly felt wiped out and more nauseous.  So we just talked to the doctor and he recommended that she take 1/2 of the morphine and he'll do some type of IV pain medication every 8 hours.

They are also giving her something called "rin-e-sin" - how it sounds..."roninsen" - how they said to spell it.  It is for "stomach protection."  Anyone have any ideas what this is please let me know.

She has 6 treatments scheduled for today - in comparison to the 7 yesterday.  She hasn't started any yet - hoping for her stomach to settle down first.

more to come....

God bless yall! I can't imagine what you are going through, other than seeing my mom go through it. It is such an excrusiating ordeal and we are only limited as to how much help or comfort we can give. Love you ladies!

Prevecid? Can't find that name...some type of stomach lining protection for sure.

A lot of the medicines they are giving her are only on spanish language sites - not given in the U.S. So, I'm pretty sure it's not prevecid. I've been able to find the others and use google translate to read about them... but can't find this one.
