Quick note... We came to the Oasis today. Valerie got the chemo IV and we just talked to the doctor. He suggested that we go back to Rosarito, let Valerie rest and see how she feels tomorrow.
She felt kind of poorly this morning, but after getting some anti-nausea medication, and eating breakfast, she felt better. She's been sleeping during the chemo IV and feels tired, but not particularly bad.
So we are headed back to our bungalow getaway. :)
One more thing I keep forgetting to mention.... Valerie has been using a walker a lot to get around. She doesn't need it to walk but it helps her conserve her strength. For the past 3 or 4 days, she's only been using a cane - no walker. And the past day - no cane, just walking on her own strength. I am dropping her off and picking her up close to the elevators and doors usually, but that's still a major step.

oh yeah, Aunt Vicki... we are trying to make it a little hidden mini vacation. :) We figure if she can make it through the chemo, she deserves SOME kind of reward! :)

AWESOME VAL! I TOTALLY AGREE ABOUT THE VACATION, BUT I WAS GETTING A LITTLE HUNGRY AND THIRSTY LOOKING AT THE MENU!!!!!!!!!!!! YALL BOTH DESERVE REWARDS!
